Amber Rogers, FNP, NHSC Loan Repayor

I am a graduate of John Hopkins University School of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner program (2011).  Prior to attending graduate school I obtained a BS in biology from Virginia Tech, as well as a BS in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University.  I have spent the last 5 years serving as a pediatric ER and ICU nurse at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  My interest in tropical medicine began after a brief medical mission to Honduras.  By a chance meeting I was recruited to LBJ Tropical Medical Center.

Outside of medicine, I love to explore the outdoors.  I am a sea kayaker, hiker, and most of all a beach bum.  I am often taken aback by the beautiful scenery the island has to offer; above and below the water.  Snorkeling has become one of my favorite past times here on island.
